Delete your account

How to permanently delete your Nature Ambience account and the data tied to it, either inside the app or by email, without needing the app installed.

Request deletion

Choose whichever is easier. Both delete the same things.

In the app

  1. Open Nature Ambience and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Tap the Settings tab at the bottom right.
  3. Under Your library, tap Delete account.
  4. Confirm with Delete for ever.

Your account and its data are deleted from our servers straight away.

No app needed · Within 30 days

By email

  1. Email ambientappstudio.app@gmail.com from the Google email address you signed in with.
  2. Use the subject "Delete my Nature Ambience account".
  3. We reply to confirm, then delete the account and its data within 30 days.
Email a deletion request

We ask you to write from the account's own email address so that nobody can delete someone else's account. If you no longer have access to it, write anyway and tell us; we will find another way to confirm it is yours.

What is deleted, and what is kept

Deleted permanently

  • Your account and the link to your Google identity
  • Your email address, Google name and Google picture
  • Your username and profile picture, including any photo you uploaded
  • Your playlists, shared or private, and the likes on them
  • Your likes and saved places
  • Your play history
  • Your offline list
  • Your sign-in sessions on every device
  • Any reports you made about shared playlists

Kept, without your name

  • The purchase record of a premium purchase (the Google Play purchase token, product and dates). It is detached from your account, so it no longer identifies you, and kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. It also stops a refunded purchase being redeemed twice.

Nothing else is retained. Deletion cannot be undone: signing in again with the same Google account afterwards starts a brand-new, empty account.

Never signed in?

Then there is no account to delete. Without signing in, the app only knows a random id it created on your phone, with no name or email attached.

  • Uninstall the app, or clear its data in Android Settings → Apps → Nature Ambience → Storage. The id is discarded, the records tied to it are no longer associated with you or any device, and they are deleted on the next cleanup cycle.
  • To remove only the scenes kept for offline listening, open Settings → Offline → Remove all downloads.

If you would like those anonymous records removed straight away, email us and we will help.

Delete some data, keep the account

You don't have to delete everything:

  • Profile picture or username: Settings → Edit profile.
  • A playlist: open it and delete it. Stop sharing a shared one from the same screen.
  • A like: tap the heart again.
  • Offline scenes: remove them from the Library's Offline tab, or all at once from Settings.
  • Anything else: email us and tell us what to remove.

Purchases

Deleting your account does not refund a purchase or cancel anything billed by Google Play. Purchases are managed in the Google Play Store.
